The Lion's Den

Step into The Lion's Den with hosts Tim and Andy as they join Roger on an insightful journey to discover the very essence of architecture.

Recorded in front of a live audience at an IGNITE event, Senior Lecturer, Academic, and Architectural Mentor, Roger Tyrrell, shares his experiences as a respected academic, weaving a narrative that goes beyond the conventional realms of architecture.

The conversation takes an intimate turn as Roger unveils the secrets behind understanding and experiencing architecture through the lens of building a den with his nephew, Anthony.

Don't miss out on this thought-provoking conversation that delves deep into the realm of phenomenology and into the very core of what makes architecture so vital. In an engaging discussion about the importance of key elements in architecture we learn about the significance of retreat, prospect, and shelter.

Advocating taking time in architecture, Roger emphasises the value of patience and reassessment in design and practice. Tune in as we unravel the intricacies of design, explore creative perspectives, and open our minds to see space differently.
