Arcam is the architecture centre of Amsterdam. We organise programmes about architecture and urban development. Our exhibitions, debates, podcasrs and research projects are accessible, yet critical; mindful of history, but with an outlook towards the future.

Meet the authors behind three inspiring books on feminist theory and the city. A podcast on feminist theory in relation to architecture. The podcast digs deeper into their publications.

Architect and researcher Afaina de Jong in conversation with Leslie Kern. Kern is the author of two books on gender and cities, including Feminist City: Claiming Space in Man-Made World (Verso).

Afaina de Jong is Arcam's Architect in Residence from November 2020 to April 2021 and in search of the meaning of a feminist spatial practice. As part of her search she initiated a Book Club and this 3-part Podcast.
