How Stetson University's Institute for Water and Environmental Resilience is Expanding Student Research Opportunities, with Dr. Jason Evans and Andrew Joesoef
Stetson University is a small, private university in Florida, but since its founding in 2015, the university’s Institute for Water and Environmental Resilience (IWER) has made impressive strides, involving dozens of undergraduate students in research projects out in the community and securing funding from a variety of sources to support and expand the program. In this conversation with IWER Executive Director Dr. Jason Evans and IWER lab manager and instructor Andrew Joesoef, they explain how the program is structured, the types of research students conduct, and how the data they’re collecting is useful for communities seeking ways to adapt to a changing climate and sea-level rise.
