He received his a BS in Biology and Minor in Chemistry from Marshall University before going on to get his Medical Doctorate from Marshall as well. He then went on to complete a three year medical residency in Washington, Pennsylvania. He also holds a Masters of Theological Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Preaching and Pastoral Ministry.
