The APBA Football Club was launched on Jan. 28, 2011. Bringing the game of APBA Football into the social media world, we offered everything from interviews with APBA icons and players, method-of-play tutorials, close study of the game's player cards and results boards, and much more. In August 2013, we held the first full APBA Football-only tournament at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton. After an initial run from 2011-16, we're back to assist in further promoting and educating the APBA community. 66s to all! For podcast ideas and feedback, email apbafootballcluboriginal@gmail.com

Ep 75 | Grant Fines (49 Sports Games) details what makes his On the Turf and Quick Decks football games tick

Grant Fines, creator of 49 Sports Games, traces his game design history back to creating playing cards for Gayle Sayers and Franco Harris. Now, he offers a handful of thoughtfully designed stats-based games including his On the Turf and Quick Decks football — the former a play-by-play game that takes about an hour per game. Grant discusses his game design philosophy and methodology — right down to the reasons behind his choice of dice. The 2022 NFL season for On the Turf Football is available for preorder now:
