The Glorious One | Crucified

Speaker: Robert Lee

In this episode of The Glorious One series, we turn our eyes to the cross—the ultimate revelation of God’s fierce love. The goal of this series is simple but transformative: to behold Jesus more clearly so that our love for Him deepens with all our heart, mind, and strength.

Scripture teaches that the way we see shapes our reality (2 Corinthians 3:18; Matthew 6:22–23). At the cross, Jesus removes sin, doubt, fear, and anxiety so that we might fully receive His love. What looks like foolishness to the world is actually “the power of God” to those who are being saved (1 Corinthians 1:18).

We’ll explore how the cross not only reconciles us to God but also demolishes the lie that He is indifferent to our struggles. Romans 5 declares that Christ died for us while we were still sinners—proving once and for all that His love is never in question. At the cross, our worth, identity, and nearness to God are secured.

The cross is not just an event to look back on but a lens through which to see God, ourselves, and others. It declares: you are wanted, valued, and brought near by His blood (Ephesians 2:13). The blood of Jesus “speaks a better word” (Hebrews 12:24), calling us to repent of lies, embrace truth, and build our lives around beholding Him daily.

In this conversation, we invite you to let the cross matter more than the sins committed against you, the lies of the enemy, or the pain of your past. Instead, live under the “better word” of the gospel—a word of fierce love, real power, and eternal hope.
