Letter to the Ephesians: Chapter 6

In this episode, we explore Paul’s climactic call in Ephesians 6:10–20—to stand firm in the Lord’s strength and in His armor. Building on the progression of the letter, we trace the journey of discipleship through SIT, WALK, and STAND, a framework made famous by Watchman Nee’s classic Sit, Walk, Stand.

  • SIT: Our position in Christ, seated with Him in heavenly places.

  • WALK: Living empowered by the Spirit, yielded to His leadership.

  • STAND: Holding our ground in Christ’s authority against the schemes of the enemy.

We unpack Paul’s truth claims:

  • We are in a very real spiritual battle, but people are not the enemy.

  • God invites us into partnership with Him through prayer, granting us His authority.

  • Our strength does not come from self-effort, but from the Lord Himself.

  • The armor of God—truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, the Word, and Spirit-led prayer—anchors us in Christ’s victory.

Rather than striving for victory, we rest in the victory Christ has already secured. Our battle is chiefly about believing and agreeing with God, even when circumstances, feelings, or lies press against us. As Paul reminds us, the weapons of our warfare pull down strongholds, renew our minds with truth, and equip us to persevere.

  • Stop trying to muster strength apart from God—start with Him.

  • Let Jesus Himself become your great reward.

  • Acknowledge the battle, but fight from a posture of truth.

  • Stand, hold your ground, and persevere—knowing you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you.

This episode calls us back to a God-centered gospel, reminding us that only those who SIT with Christ can truly STAND in His authority.
