About Vanessa Whatley Vanessa Whatley is an anthropologist and Head of Research - Data & Growth at Twilio. Previously, she was a UX Researcher & Strategist at Google, where she worked on improving the advertising experience for small and medium-sized businesses. She studied Anthropology at the University of California, Berkeley, and went on to get an MS in Human Factors in Information Design at Bentley. Vanessa believes in a human-centered approach and is passionate about helping companies gain a deep understanding of people to create products that are useful and relevant.
