Our saga begins 6000 years ago, in a small hunter gatherer village on the Pontic Steppe. This is the flat grasslands north of the Black Sea, in modern day Eastern Ukraine. Life was simple in the village, and revolved around herd animals, hunting, and fishing. This was life before writing, before farming, and before the advance of Horse riding.
