I talk with Jaya Ravi, co-founder of Karishma Children Welfare Foundation. She founded Karishma Children Welfare Foundation when her friend Karishma was forced into child marriage and child labor due to poverty and lack of opportunities for Dalits, people belonging to the lowest caste in India. Being educated in the US, she did not forget the hardship her peers was facing. She went to India during summer to tutor the underprivileged children there, hoping to make a difference in their lives.
