‘An Authentic Life’ is an approachable guide to the imperfect journey of self-empowerment, holistic health and genuine happiness with nutritional medicine practitioner, Miranda Partridge. The aim is to learn more about ourselves, challenge our limiting beliefs and foster unconditional self-love, with curiosity, experimentation, and a dash of dork.

In this podcast, I share a lot about my own journey toward my most authentic life, as well as my expertise as a nutritional medicine practitioner. But I want to interview people that inspire me, to learn how they embody their authenticity in whatever it is they do. I really believe we need to hear that living the life we love is not without its hardships, but no matter what we’ve been through, we can always come out the other side if we put in the work.

What really makes a healthy diet?

In this episode I discuss healthy eating - because obviously as a nutritional medicine practitioner, that’s probably what people want to hear from me the most.

I want to share with you what I believe are the most important things to really understand about healthy eating;

  • Why your diet doesn’t need to have a name
  • Why our weight is not a measure of our health or our value
  • Why weight loss is not the most important goal when it comes to healthy eating
  • Why listening to the cues your body gives you can empower you to make change within your health and give you strength, energy, vitality and longevity within your health
  • Why you shouldn't ignore your symptoms and food intolerances
  • How practising forgiveness is different to being complacent within your health journey
  • The basic aspects of a healthy diet and the simple steps to creating your intuitive diet around them
  • An example of what my diet looks like and how I use intuitive eating every day
