Amy Ransom Talks S1E01: The Art of Mothering

Welcome to the first episode of Amy Ransom Talks - a chat show where I talk to gorgeous souls who are brilliant at holding their unique vibration in the world. I hope they'll inspire you to find or develop yours.

EPISODE 1: The Art of Mothering

‘There’s an art to mothering. And it’s called being present.’ Sarah McDonald

I'm delighted to introduce Sarah McDonald (@mcdonaldlovelies) mother of six, a former midwife and the person who introduced me to the concept of Law Of Attraction and is the inspiration behind my latest book, The Soul-Soaring Virtues of Separation. We talk about:

- What it's like having 6 kids

- What it's like having 6 kids in a pandemic

- Labour in a pandemic (‘This is their birth experience. This is beyond cruel.’)

- Saying goodbye to our kids as they return to school (‘There’s a part of me that’ll be sad but I’ll be sadder if it’s stopped!’)

- Anger and injustice and how we can transmute those emotions

- How the real root of frustration often displays itself elsewhere (‘Taking control of yourself, not the situation, is the most rewarding thing.’)

- Loving the less 'desirable' ingredients of being human

- Having fun instead of making beds

- And whether we've gone too far with ‘honest’ motherhood? (‘It’s really important you give motherhood a good title.’)

I hope you enjoy it! Much love
