Small bites of Big Literature: Sapfo and Euripides against war

In this episode join Chrysanthi as she presents an antiwar poem written on 630 B.C. by Sapfo. Sarcasm is found there smashing all the stereotypes that identified a male person by his braveness. Sapfo is speaking about her feelings which was a great revolution in poetry of a time that the epic poetry of Iliad dominated the literary landscape. I connect this poem to an excerpt of the Trojan Women, a tragedy of Euripides written on 416 B.C., literally a masterpiece about peace!
