American Vet Podcast

I wanted to start a podcast that will showcase what it truly takes and means to be a veteran these days. As many know every veteran goes through months of training to do their job in uniform. When its time to EAS they only get a few weeks at best to rejoin the civilian life. Unfortunately this is the time we lose some of our 22 a day. Our veterans and Servicemembers over time have put a stigma on reaching out for help in their time of need. So that's where I got the idea of starting a podcast.

Episode 17- Brandon Air Force Veteran

Brandon served the Air Force from 05 to 16, in that time he was awarded airman of the year for his group in 06. Brandon’s military career was a roller coaster to say the least, he first attempted to join the Navy but in a weird turn of events he ended up going into the Air Force. His plan was to only do four years and get out then use his GI bill to pay and finish his schooling.  Once he was at boot camp, he found out that the MOS he signed up for he no longer qualified for and now had 2o minutes to pick a new MOS. Brandon tried to get stationed in a big city but again fate knocked at his door and he was sent to a small hole in the wall town. Brandon also talks about his time as a color guard and having to carry the casket of his falling comrades to their final resting place.
