Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) is a chronic allergic inflammatory disease of the esophagus with growing prevalence and clinical impact, yet many of its underlying mechanisms remain poorly understood. The authors explore how murine models have advanced our knowledge of EoE pathogenesis, highlighting key molecular and translational findings uncovered through in vivo research.
