Learning to "fit in" without being too ghetto-ish

Today's episode will touch on an almost vague but awkward reality most first gen anything encounter.

You know that sense of disconnect or isolation stemming from differences in background and upbringing between you and others who seem well off, socioeconomically than you.

You might feel like an outsider among your well-off friends because they didn't experience the same challenges or circumstances you did growing up. This can create a feeling of being misunderstood or unable to fully express yourself authentically because your friends may not relate to or understand your experiences.

It's a complex mix of feeling both privileged in some ways and disadvantaged in others, which can be a challenging emotional space to navigate.

We'll try unpacking it together in todays episode.
