If you’ve been following along, I spent some time in California visiting some close friends. They live in Hermosa Beach, CA and are less than a mile from the beach. Whenever I visit them, I love spending the morning at the beach by myself. They are both night owls and I, am not. So we spend most of the day and evening together, then I get my mornings to be calm and reset my brain a bit listening to the waves, having breakfast by the beach, and watching the introduction to the day. Walk with me to the Hermosa Beach pier on a Saturday morning. This particular day had a volleyball tournament gearing up to start. You’ll hear some of the chatter as I walk by their setup areas and courts. Near the end of the track, I am on the pier and heading toward the ocean breaking on the shore. Our next track is a special one, just listening to the waves and the ocean rolling with the sand as it breaks near shore.
