am I okay

I'm Lucy and I've had every mental health issue under the sun, I am the world's most accomplished over-thinker, and I used to hate myself profoundly. Now, I often like myself, I've had a semi spiritual awakening, and I only avoid the tube SOMETIMES. I hate that people feel shame about things that we shouldn't feel shame about - taking antidepressants, not having enough sex, having really disturbing dreams, because actually all of these things are normal. The title's an inside joke with myself and everyone I know because the one thing I'm constantly saying is: 'Am I okay?' Most likely, yes.

5. love is overrated

hey b*tches & happy day of luuuurve - this episode's for everyone out there who thinks their life won't get good until they've got romance in it. I'm not really a Valentine's Day scrooge, and I don't actually think love is overrated, I just think sometimes we put too much pressure on romantic love when life is so good without it - love can be found everywhere, and I can PROMISE you that the good good love that you want won't come until you truly love yourself properly & know your worth.

I love love - truly I do, and I love being in love. But I also love the love I find through my friends, through my family, through strangers I meet on the street, through dogs and cats, and animals I see when I go to Hackney City Farm (lol). Most importantly I love the love I give to and get from myself - the relationship I have with myself is what's got me to where I am, and there is NOTHING better than me, myself and I and our little love-filled, self-loving world.

I've said 'love' way too many times now.

Live life like you're your own romantic partner, and the romance you want will find you. Kisses xxxxxxx
