As a child I was told many times by adults to stay out of “grown folks business” when it came to every possible “grown” topic you could think of. 24 years later - after a few failed relationships, almost flunking out of college, finally moving into my own place, and starting my career - I wonder, am I grown yet?

After being hurt by people/situations I've always found a sense of comfort in the fact that I could blame them/it for why I couldn't move on with my life. When in reality, it was ME who wasn't allowing myself to move on. Waiting around for closure is old news! YOU are in control of your growth.
