Hi there beautiful friends and doctor humans!
Itâs Kristeen and Doctor Becc here. We're so glad you're joining us today for another heartfelt chat.
In this episode, weâre diving into a topic we know many of you will relate to: the tension between wanting to be good, kind, and giving while learning to balance that with the realities of life and our human limits.
1. The Myth of Goodness:
Being "nice" or a "good person" often comes with perfectionistic definitions that set us up for self-doubt.
2. Perfectionismâs Trap:
High performers, like doctors, are especially prone to believing they must operate at 10/10 all the time. This mindset not only leads to burnout but also undercuts our ability to appreciate our efforts.
3. Redefining Goodness:
Instead of striving for perfection, we can focus on showing up with authenticity and giving our best within the energy we have each day.
4. Boundaries Are Key:
Being kind to yourself and setting healthy limits allows you to sustainably care for others without depleting your own reserves.
5. Rejecting Perfectionistic Thinking:
Learning to validate our own efforts, even when theyâre not âperfect,â creates space for compassion and growth.
Weâd love to hear your thoughts on this episode! Have you ever struggled with perfectionism or doubting whether youâre "good enough"?
