A conversational podcast started during the Covid-19 pandemic. Beginning the first episodes in lockdown, and unable to meet each guest in person, the conversations had to take place along the phone lines. Each episode is along the lines of... whatever subject/s are interesting and relevant (to the guest/s) at the time of recording.

#20. Along the Lines of… The Political Compass Game - Part 4 (with Nick Twigger)

In this episode, Dan and Nick Twigger discuss, debate, and give their views on propositions from "The Political Compass" Test (found at https://www.politicalcompass.org/).

They cover the following propositions:
35) Those who are able to work, and refuse the opportunity, should not expect society’s support
36) When you are troubled, it’s better not to think about it, but to keep busy with more cheerful things
37) First-generation immigrants can never be fully integrated within their new country
38) What’s good for the most successful corporations is always, ultimately, good for all of us
39) No broadcasting institution, however independent its content, should receive public funding.… and how you see the wider society
40) Our civil liberties are being excessively curbed in the name of counter-terrorism
41) A significant advantage of a one-party state is that it avoids all the arguments that delay progress in a democratic political system

Let's keep the conversation going!
