In S1E12 of allegedly?!, we talk about relationships. Specifically, romantic versus platonic ones. In one of our recent viral TikToks, we asked thought-provoking questions on what actual distinction exists between romantic and platonic relationships. This TikTok started some pretty remarkable dialogue, and we created this episode to really dive in. We all know our society puts an emphasis on romantic relationships. We discuss exactly why that is, and more importantly, question if this societal norm is something that we want to subscribe to as we navigate the relationships in our life. Is this prioritization of romantic relationships something organic to our nature as human beings? Is it a pervasive social norm that has just been force-fed to us since we were children?
