Her work employs a slew of methods—from autonomic physiology, and behavioral observations, to subjective emotional experience assessments and linguistic markers—age-diverse samples, diverse study designs, as well as single-subjects and dyadic approaches. Most impressively, her research has been funded by a number of foundations and institutions, including the National Institute of Mental Health. In this episode, Claudia Haase, Ph.D. reveals the importance of understanding emotions within a marriage, and the common emotional mysteries that dominate most marriages. That aside, she lists warning signs that such mysteries might be headed for more significant problems.
