Episode #7: Dr. Patrick Holmberg, Strength Coach & Researcher (Queensland Univ., Australia) | Periodization, Managing Workload, Microdosing, Speed Development, Hamstring Injury Reduction Strategies

Episode #7 features Dr. Patrick Holmberg, a former collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coach, who is currently doing research at Queensland University of Technology in Australia.

Dr. Holmberg brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and expertise in the field of strength and conditioning, coaching, and performance.

Our discussion was packed with his insights, thoughts, and considerations regarding programming and periodization, workload “management” in consideration of sport demands and how to best apply appropriate stressors, speed development in the context of an overall training plan, hamstring injury reduction strategies, a discussion around microdosing and in-season planning, and more.

We thank Dr. Holmberg for being gracious with his time and coming onto the Podcast to talk shop!

The episode is available on all platforms, including YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.
