#013 On this episode of all things, con amor, we have the pleasure of learning from Dr. Katherine Tucker, a Professor of Nutritional Epidemiology and Director of the Center for Population Health at the University of Massachusets Lowell. Having completed her PhD in nutritional sciences from Cornell university and experience in the Peace Corps, Dr. Tucker a wealth of knowledge. She has contributed to over 400 articles in scientific journals and her research focuses on the connection between dietary intake and risk of chronic disease, including osteoporosis, cognitive decline, obesity, metabolic syndrome, and heart disease, with an emphasis on health disparities. She is a fantastic guest and this conversation covered SO much from how to speed up our metabolism, supportive supplements, foods you should be eating and avoiding, the keto diet and more. As Editor in Chief for the American Society for Nutrition, she is the most knowledgeable and CREDIBLE professional I have ever come across in regards to a topic we all love: food.
I hope you’re ready to take notes and listen to this episode a second time over because I learned SO much from her in the hour we spoke and even more in the editing process, enjoy!
