Celebrating the music, life and stories from the stars of the Australian music scene
King Fox, a schoolboy psychedelic rock band (you don't hear that description very often), won a Sydney radio competition in 1970 and recorded a hit record, Unforgotten Dreams, before disappearing without a trace.
The bands bass guitarist, Billy Field, would later emerge in the early 80's as a piano playing, singer-songwriter, gaining No.1's and going on to be one of Australia's most successful solo artists of that time.Fuzing Jazz and Pop, the distinctive vocals of Billy Field can be heard on two of the most memorable hits of the 1980's in chart toppers, Bad Habits and You Weren't In Love With Me.Billy and his co-writer Tom Price, have had their music recorded by international superstars such as Mick Fleetwood and David Lee Roth. The interview with Billy is thought provoking and despite his own down playing, Billys music will continue to find new generations of fans.
