All About Skills!
Charlie Jett: Critical Skills - Careers and Education
66 episodes
It’s All About Skills is a series of programs that describe the eight Critical Skills that you, your children, your grandchildren and all of us need to succeed as well as to ensure the survival of our constitutional republic. The skills were derived not from simple surveys but from hard data from the kinds of skills that organizations – public and private – actually look for when they hire individuals who will have an impact on the organization. Programs following the introductory series will focus on perspectives and experiences of others such as teachers, businesses, parents, students, executive recruiters, career coaches, politicians, etc. in teaching, using and assessing the skills. Some programs will focus on specific programs and/or activities that a teacher can do in classrooms – or that parents who home school their children can do.

048 Henry Kimsey-House, a Founder of the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI), and Charlie Jett Discuss Coaching and the Critical Skills
Henry Kimsey-House is one of the first professional coaches in the 1980s and the co-founder and lead designer of the Co-Active Training Instute’s (CTI) provocative experiential learning programs. He is also the co-author of Co-Active Coaching and Co-Active Leadership.

An actor since age 9, Henry honed his insights into human emotion and the narrative process through classical theatrical training and years of stage, television, and film experience.

With deep conviction that education should be driven by immersive, contextually based learning and not dry information dumps, Henry is committed to creating richly engaging and transformative learning environments where retention approaches 80% rather than the traditional 20%.

Henry continues to develop new, innovative curriculum and collaborate with other dynamic thought leaders. Along with his wife and partner, Karen, has written Co-Active Leadership – now in its second edition.
