I began my career in 2007 during a cold wintery January in Salt Lake City, Utah. I've flourished at 2 regional airlines and now I am at the majors. My career took off like a rocket and continues to thrive, even today. Within the airline I have fulfilled roles as a Union Steward, Reports Analyst, Program Interface Specialists, and Instructor. I believe connectivity is the most effective way to uplift my community, break barriers, and contribute to the elevation of our socioeconomic status. This podcast was developed to help guide you on your journey to become a Flight Attendant.

How to become a Flight Attendant - Regional
Welcome to Airplanes and Afros. In todays episode we will discuss the aviation sector: Commercial (regional). Commercial (regional) means that you will work for a privately owned company that has contracted flying with a mainline carrier such as United, Delta, and/or American. The contract is restricted to US territories as well as Canada and Mexico. These are companies like Republic, Skywest, Compass, American Eagle, GoJets, etc.. You will work alone or with 1 other flight attendant. You will be on reserve anywhere from 1 month to 5 years. Your aircraft(s) will seat 19-99 passengers. The down side is the pay is a bit less than a mainline carrier. The upside is you’ll serve less time on reserve. Just like mainline, you’ll also have full benefits for you, your family, and friends. Be sure to visit us at airplanesandafros.com and take our FREE 7 DAY e-COURSE. We can't wait to watch your soar.
