Julian is a political economist at the University of Oxford, focusing on AI policy and its political consequences, including technological disruptions, inequality, debt, and polarization. He is actively researching how digital technology impacts US household debt levels and exploring the potential for retraining individuals in a digitally automated environment. Beyond academia, Julian is a Senior Economist at OMFIF and a Public Policy Fellow at Google.
