Afroqueesiac is a word I randomly just thought would describe who I currently am and what I kinda represent and what this podcast is going to be about. The podcast shall be Curious. Open. Subject to change. I really wonder...How are people able to speak and keep only one line of thought? I identify as a Kenyan, queer humanbean. I welcome all sorts of discussion. Especially the very uncomfortable ones. I hope to inspire peace, impact knowledge and simply just express and experience my thoughts as I speak. πŸ’•

I look back and I realise yes. I have always been queer. My existence know no other form. And to be honest I live it here! I mean yes, it's difficult being queer, but I still am. May it also be noted that from the 17-24 of may has been and shall continue to be Pride Week in Kenya!!! It has and shall continue to be such a beautiful, necessary experience! I live it. The love the idea behind it. I just love it!!!!

I'm not a woman.
Let me just help you understand a little bit better. So the term cis gender means that a person identifies as the sex they were assigned at birth. The term transgender means that a person identifies differently from the sex they were assigned at birth. The term gender binary refers to the idea that there are only two gender (female, male.) The term non binary binary refutes the idea that the individual belongs to just those two binary genders. However this does not mean that there aren't other identities that don't fall into the category of non binary. Non binary people mostly identify with the pronouns they/them. Also, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ASK SOMEONE WHAT PRONOUNS THEY WANT TO BE ADDRESSED BY. Anyway 😁 my socials are @afroqueesiac on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook and my email is afroqueesiac@gmail.com. thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Give me the freedom to express myself!!!
I'm angry because I am not allowed to be myself just so that I can make you feel comfortable. I am angry because why does what I look like, what I wear, how I speak, etc have to be decided by people who are not me. I am angry. Okay. Just angry!
