No Such Thing as a Female Filmmaker with Uyoyou Adia

Today, you’re going to hear from Mama J’s protege - if you know, you know. Director of Charge and Bail, writer of Nneka the Pretty Serpent and Ghost and the Tout Too. Her name is - drumroll - Uyoyou Adia.

After directing her first feature film in 2020, she’s directed seven other feature films as of June 2022. So, no, she’s not just getting started.

In this episode, we talk about women in film, the one quality every great producer must have, and her experiences in the film industry so far. This episode is packed with lots of lessons for young filmmakers, so be sure to listen to the end.

Let me know what you find most interesting about this episode. Tweet at me or send a DM. My twitter handle is @iamkorayday and my Instagram handle is at @korayday. Find Uyoyou on both twitter and Instagram @missy_uyi
