Rebecca De Cicco, Global Chair Women In BIM, Founder of Digital Node which was recently acquired by Aurecon, ex-BIM Task Group (UK) joins hosts Ralph Montague and John Egan for a St Patricks Day Special discussion about innovation in our built environment.
Rebecca played a role in pioneering BIM standards in the UK and setup her own consultancy to enable BIM with some of the leading early practitioners, from implementation to training.
As other industries move on, the AEC sectors is a male dominant industry and it is rotting from the inside out as a result. Where diversity and opportunity have played a key part in the development of other industries, the AEC sectors has not moved on and presents a real risk and challenge for the industry.
Alongside this, the industry has been forced to innovate and fast, as new technologies and working methods become normalised for a post COVID era.
Listen to what Rebecca has to say about this, and more. Also, If you are interested in the Women In BIM initiative - a knowledge-sharing and support network for women in BIM, learn more about getting involved here: https://womeninbim.org/
