On this episode we feature uMngomezulu on the guest mix, formally know as Deepland originally from KZN real name Thulasizwe. He started his music journey in 2009 that was his first year at Soul Candi Institute Of Music and while he was enrolling he was signed under music,myself and I as “Deepland” which is a label under Vinyl Joint. He released an album called “Deep Inside” (https://www.discogs.com/Deepland-Presents-Deep-Inside/release/10687245) and has tracks featured exclusively on compilations at Vinyl Joint. In 2012 he did remixes for labels such as 695 Records while studying towards his Diploma. Than in 2012 he continued at The Academy Of Sound Engineering with his Diploma in Broadcasting Technology. Through out his journey in 2009 he was discovered by Mr Blanket as he was a student that’s when they teamed up on a few projects. In 2017 uMngomezulu and Mr Blanket started a record shop called Vinylifestyle which is one of the most well know record shops in Johannesburg that has held big underground spinners including legends such as DJ MBUSO,JIMPSTER,JAZZMAN,KONSTANTINO,THE RURALS,MARCELO TAVARES.
