In this episode, we are privileged to have another inspiring ACMedical success story with our guest speaker, Dr. James Chiou, lifetime member of ACMedical, who after his 9-year journey and 5 Match attempts, Matched into Family Medicine Residency in the 2021 NRMP Match during the COVID pandemic. He graduated from Universidad Iberoamericana School of Medicine (UNIBE), then worked as an Assistant Physician in St. Louis, Missouri for 2 years prior to matching, and when the pandemic first hit, he was also part of a Disaster Medical Assistance Team.  This is part 1 of this 2-part interview where we’ll learn more about all that led up to his Family Medicine match.
