AASP and Answered

This show features Past-Presidents of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology as they reflect on the history of sport and performance psychology, their leadership, and their impact on the field. Like all good projects, this one started in a bar as we were swapping stories of AASP legends, and discussing what former AASP Presidents we’d like to hang out with. As they say, the rest was history. Next, we compiled this incredible team, of Megan Byrd, Brandonn Harris, Eric Martin, Chelsea Wooding, and Katy Johnson, and through this brain trust, we’ve created something really special. The Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP; https://appliedsportpsych.org/) was established in 1985 and has over 2500 members. We want to acknowledge Kyle Ivy for our theme music, and AASP for funding the project. We AASP'd, they answered, and we hope you'll give us a listen. The views and opinions expressed in this podcast are those of the Past President/guests interviewed and do not necessarily reflect the views or positions of the hosts or AASP.
