Mel Tang is an experienced finance executive and is currently the Founding Operating Partner and CFO at Matter Venture Partners, a venture fund investing in hard-tech startups. He started his career in investment banking after finishing his undergrad at the University of Pennsylvania. After that, he was CFO at companies such as SpinLaunch, Ring Doorbell, Spare Foot, and Demand Media. At SpinLaunch, a space-tech company, he helped close their $71 million Series B financing. At Ring, he led their revenue growth of 30x in 6 years. And at Demand Media, he played a crucial role in growing the startup from less than $100 million in revenue to around $400 million.
