Heyyyy beautiful people, its been a while.........2022 was a year that I would never want to do again. There were some ups and there were countless downs. All I can say is I am glad that I made it out alive. I never thought I would question my existence, but I did. I am thankful for my family (a special S/O to my father & sister) and friends that helped me get through a tough year. I am so glad that I am currently living my new beginning in peace. Always remember that it's okay to cry, to vent, and to want more for yourself-you are more than enough.

Heyyy beautiful people, as of late I've been pondering what my purpose is. I do believe I have figured out what my purpose is...at least for the next few years. All I know is, never lose sight of your dreams and your purpose because those are the reasons that we get out the bed everyday.
I hope you've liked this season and I'll be back with new episodes in May! See y'all soon!

Heyyyyy beautiful people!!! Motherhood is one of those things that can be planned, totally unplanned, or some people never gave the topic much thought. For me motherhood is constantly on my mind as I am getting older. I am in the age range where people just assume that I am a mother and my parents claim that they want grandchildren. As you all know I am a very opinionated individual, so here are my thoughts on being a mother. I hope you enjoy!

Terrence Roberts is one of the Little Rock Nine and while I was an undergraduate student I had the pleasure of meeting him. A few months before I met him I actually made a wish to meet one of the Little Rock Nine. Here's the story about why I wished that and what happened afterwards.
*** The Little Rock Nine were a group of nine Black students in America who were sent to Central High School to integrate the school in 1957. The president of the United States at the time had to send the National Guard to accompany these students to school.

Today I sat down with my lovely friend Des-Lee so we could discuss why we think men are trash. In this conversation you will get the story of how Des-Lee and I met, as well as the story about a guy we were both talking to in South Korea. Des-Lee is from South Africa and she's an English teacher in South Korea. Des-Lee does share a story about being assaulted so if that is a trigger for you I suggest you proceed with caution while listening to this episode. I really enjoyed recording this episode and I hope you like it too!
I'm sure you've been seeing #FREEPALESTINE all up and down your timeline accompanied by videos of unspeakable violence. In today's episode I sit down with my friend Des-Lee (she's from South Africa) to discuss the similarities between Apartheid and the conflict between Palestine and Israel. What would you do if you woke up one day and your home was no longer your home?

Did your mother teach you about your body? Well I know that mine did not. On today's episode I have invited my younger sisters Akilah, Samiyah, and Maryam (I call them seesters) to talk about the lack of knowledge we received about our bodies, dating, and how we had to sign contracts stating that we wouldn't have sex until marriage.
Akilah aka the Pussy Bag Lady created DelicacyTotes and tune in to listen to the story behind her tote line. You can purchase DelicacyTote at https://delicacytotes.com/ and you can follow the page on Instagram at delicacytotes_llc.
That's all beautiful people! Thanks for reading and most importantly thanks for listening!
In May of 2017 I was working for a nonprofit organization on the Southside of Chicago. Well one day someone sent a mass email asking for donations for medical expenses, and the email was quite condescending. So I replied to that email...I pressed reply all. So here's what happened.
If you want to quit your job...DO IT! If you want to start a business DO IT! If you want to move to another country at the start of a global pandemic...DAMN IT DO IT!
