Hindus and Muslims belong to two different religious philosophies, social customs and literary traditions. They neither intermarry nor eat together, and indeed they belong to two different civilizations which are based mainly on conflicting ideas and conceptions. Religious abuse is abuse administered under the guise of religion, including harassment or humiliation, which may result in psychological trauma. A communal mind often leads to a quest for political dominance of one's own religious community. Political mobilisation on religious lines is another frequent form of communalism. Sometimes, communalism takes its most ugly form, in communal violence riots and massacres.
