CHILD USA founder and CEO, Professor Marci Hamilton, discusses the prevalence of child sex abuse in the hip-hop community with Leila Wills. Topics include: R.Kelly, Why we haven’t just seen fewer lawsuits but also fewer victims coming forward in the movement and the reasons behind that phenomena, discussions on how we make the movement for justice for child sex abuse victims more inclusive, and curbing child abuse in the music industry. Leila is a journalist and producer based in Chicago. She’s very active on a variety of social issues and is currently producing a film about child sexual abuse in hip hop called Trapped In A Culture.
