Welcome to the first episode of A Techno-Legal Update (@TechLegalUpdate), a podcast bringing to you analysis of significant developments at the intersection of law and technology. 

This edition analyses:

1. Australia’s newly announced National Blockchain Roadmap. 

2. The consideration by the Commonwealth Senate Select Committee on Financial Technology and Regulatory Technology of ‘screen scraping’ as part of its inquiry. 

3. Apple’s shelving of plans to fully encrypt backups of iPhones in its iCloud service following complaints by the FBI. 

4. The passage of legislation in the US, which requires the Department of State to report to the US Congress on its regulation of the licensing regime for the export of cyber tools and capabilities.
