Saralyn Hamilton was what’s known as a moderate drinker. There were never major problems, but she had a glass of wine or two almost every day, and it was certainly a major component of her social life. Religious tradition and man made doctrine has prevented millions of Christians from experienceing God and has caused millions more to completely disregard a great deal of New Testament scripture. Emotional trauma is often a door through which demonic influence can enter people’s lives. Today’s conversation, from a spiritual perspective, is one of the most nutrient dense conversations we’ve had on A Stronger Faith. Dan Pinckney and his wife Iada have lived their lives walking in the gifts of the Spirit. They have worked as pastors around the globe, planted churches, directed spiritual healing centers, served as deliverance ministers, have been agents for radical healing, and of course, are teachers of the way of Christ with a strong knowledge of scripture. Dan is a Presbyterian pastor and was raised a cessationist. Cessationists believe that certain spiritual gifts such as prophecy, healing, and miracles essentially stopped when the first apostles died, a common viewpoint inside many modern denominational churches. But Dan has walked a very different life and has witnessed and participated in the miraculous for decades. Today, he shares many of those experiences, along with scores of priceless, eye-opening spiritual truths rooted in scripture. This episode might be one to have a notebook handy because I think it is a master class in walking in God’s supernatural power.
