I have seen many great comedians give memorable and hilarious performances for 50 years. However, I have often wondered what makes these fearless brave people appear live on stage every night and be funny. So, I have decided to interview some of my favourite comedians to try and find out.
In this episode, I talk to the wonderful actor and comedian, THOM TUCK.
Known for being one third of the comedy group, The Penny Dreadfuls who debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2006, Tuck has appeared in and directed many plays and comedy shows. An excellent improvise with extensive radio work, Tuck has founded (along with comedian John Luke Roberts), hosted and curated the Alternative Comedy Memorial Society, a cult evening of new comedy, since 2011.
I have seen Tuck perform in the play Coalition at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2012, appearing several times in London for comedian Vix Leyton from 2020 to 2022, and hosting the Alternative Comedy Memorial Society in London and Edinburgh in 2020, 2023 and 2024.
