Jayne Joso is an award-winning author of four novels, a captivating collection of short stories, and a children's book that's a bestseller in Japan (going into its 6th reprint) . She is also an artist. In this episode, we delve into her creative process and what inspires her storytelling on the page and in her paintings. Jayne's adventures living and working across the globe - from Japan and China to Kenya and artistic Weimar, Germany - infuse her writing and artwork with depth and vibrancy.
A speaker at prestigious literary festivals including the Hay Festival, Joso brings her expertise and passion to the world. She holds degrees in English Literature and Literary Theory, and Masters in Playwriting under the tutelage of renowned British playwright David Edgar. She also trained in silk painting, calligraphy and artisan paper making in the mountains of Niigata, Japan. Her artist name is Neko Neko.
