In this solo episode, I chose to speak about a controversial and perhaps taboo topic: beauty treatments and procedures.
After going to a couple of clinics in Korea, and doing a few treatments myself, I felt it important to share my experiences with you.
Completely unscripted, I wanted to remain as open and authentic about a topic I avoided bringing up for so long. In a world that tends to shame you for what you do or don’t do, I wanted to share with you how I’ve been dealing with the standards of beauty our society has created.
There can be so many extreme thoughts and beliefs about what is right or wrong when it comes to beauty procedures, and what I hope to convey through this episode is that not everything is so black and white.
Should we or should we not beauty treatments? What is the driving force behind doing them? How important is it to be honest with others about what we do? Is beauty a distraction? I ask many questions in this episode that I try to answer in order to start a conversation with you.
What has your experience with beauty been like? How has it made you feel? You can share your thoughts and feelings in the comments below.
