In this powerful and vulnerable episode, I welcome my amazing classmate, Michael! He shares some of the ways his partner supports him and what “home” means when training can require moving frequently. We reflect on our egos and how they play into our roles in relationships and medicine. Michael and I also muse about what we want in life and how choosing a medical specialty factors into that grander picture. We wrap up by talking about mental health and the importance of surrounding yourself with people who love the authentic you. Enjoy!
