I am unbelievably excited to welcome my childhood best friend and fellow medical student (though we’re not classmates), Yifan! We reminisce about our childhood expectations of love and careers, and Yifan describes what her long-distance relationship looks like. She talks about her ideal timeline for big life events and shares her thoughts on managing “work-life balance.” Blowing me away with her time management skills, Yifan also talks about her experiences in going to med school and dating in a big city. Running throughout our entire conversation is the idea that being a medical student doesn’t have to become your entire personality! Enjoy!
