Eric Munoz
37 episodes

A Few Good Physios podcast is a journey through the physical therapy/strength & conditioning industry, told by the view points of Dr. Eric Munõz and Dr. Leonidas Scantalides. Both are seasoned NYC clinicians with their own practices (Integrated PT² and On Point Sports Care) specializing in orthopedic outpatient care and strength/conditioning.

Episodes range from clinical commentary on various injuries to featured guests, discussing industry trends, new evidence, and popular orthopaedic treatments.

Although Dr. Munõz and Dr. Scantalides love all sporting events, they have particular interest in combat sports, as they themselves are competitive Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioners in NYC. Listen in as their life experiences echo their martial arts practices!

Recorded September 25th,

2018

Listen in to a heated discussion on the trend of large health insurance companies purchasing pharmacies, namely the recent 52 billion dollar deal between Cigna and Express Scripts. Initially  Lee and Eric go on a little “rant” on the implications that may follow for clinicians and patient care.  They also discuss the facts and experiences of poor advocacy with in and for the profession.

Lee and Eric eventually turn the conversation into a positive call to action for change with in the practice of physical therapy practice and advocacy!
