A Crime Most Queer explores crimes committed by or against members of the Queer community. Nj Hourquebie delves into true stories of murder, assault, victimisation and hate crimes involving LGBTQ people, mainly in but not limited to South Africa. Deadly Friends | The Murder of Annicke Thofte and Danie Robbertze

On 27th May 2008, Annicke Thofte and Danie Robbertze were found murdered in their flat in Durban, South Africa. Both had been shot in the head. What made matters worse was that their killer was known to them. That fateful Monday night, they had invited Gordon van Niekerk into their home, as they had done many times before, but what they didn’t know was that this time he was coming for more than just the wine.
