My Mother on a green Paddy Field (हरिया धानका बिउ बीच मेरी आमा)
Mansoon has started and the time of paddy cultivation has started in Nepal. I reminiscences my mother cultivating paddy in the village and providing food for the family. She is a strong courageous lady with heart full of joy and peace. This poem is from the collection of "My Mother's Memories " which I have started to write sometime a go and I continue to add up here and then. Like every mother she has fought with the struggles now and then for the betterment of her children and family. And I salute every mother in this cultivation season who are working in the field along with the rain to provide food for the family.
