This week we are joined by the Professor of New Testament at Brite Divinity School, Dr. Shelly Matthews! She is an expert on feminism and the Bible, and the author of numerous publications about gender roles in the New Testament and early Christian communities. We discuss the Bechdel Test, finding sources to help our understanding of the context of the Bible, and learning to read the Bible as a conversation that continues to today.
